Sipradi Yatri Unveils Price of New Electric Scooter ‘Yatri P2’

Sipradi Yatri has officially announced the price of its new electric scooter, the ‘Yatri P2’, which has been engineered and manufactured in Nepal.

The starting price of the P2 has been set at NPR 329,900, according to the company. Customers can choose from different battery capacities, colors, comfort features and connectivity options based on their needs and preferences.

Developed with Nepal’s diverse and challenging road and geographical conditions in mind, the P2 is designed not only for urban commuting but also for uphill roads, winding routes, daily city traffic and longer-distance travel. The scooter combines performance, range, charging convenience, connectivity and rider-focused technology on a single platform.

Engineered for Nepal’s Roads

One of the key features of the P2 is its PMSM mid-drive motor, which has been designed to deliver performance across different road and riding conditions.

According to Sipradi Yatri, the motor produces 315 Nm of torque at the wheel. An actively cooled high-power controller is designed to help maintain consistent and reliable performance, particularly on uphill roads.

The P2 features a high-strength steel chassis, long-travel suspension and 14-inch wheels to provide stability and control across different road conditions in Nepal.

The scooter also comes with dual disc brakes and a combined braking system for improved control and confidence while braking.

Three Battery Options

The P2 is available with three battery options to meet different daily riding requirements.

The 3 kWh battery provides a range of up to 90 km in urban conditions, while the 3.7 kWh battery offers up to 112 km and the 5.2 kWh battery provides up to 157 km of range, according to the company.

For riders seeking additional range, an extender pack can provide up to 50 km of additional range. Sipradi Yatri says the P2’s battery systems have been developed specifically for the platform and tested according to Nepal’s operating conditions.

The P2 also comes with a battery warranty of up to eight years or 80,000 km, which the company says reflects its focus on long-term customer confidence.

Connected and Smart Features

The P2 comes equipped with an integrated onboard charger, a 7-inch TFT display, 4G connectivity and multiple riding modes.

Other features include smart charging mode, multiple levels of regenerative braking, hill hold, cruise control, Class-D headlamp, regen-responsive taillight, anti-theft notification and motor lock.

With the P2, Sipradi Yatri aims to further advance the development of electric mobility that is engineered and manufactured in Nepal.
