SAARC Scholarship Scheme Offered by Embassy of India for Nepalese Students
Embassy of India, Kathmandu offers Nepalese students for SAARC Scholarship Scheme in Indian Universities for every academic year. Under the SAARC Scholarship Scheme, admission is provided to B.Sc (Hospitality & Hotel Management) course in Indian institutions.
- Applicants must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with compatible subject in class 12 and have secured minimum of 60% marks in aggregate as well as in English.
- Applicants should be between 17 to 22 years.
Selection Process of SAARC Scholarship Scheme
Short-listed students will be called for final interview. The Selection process is based on the applicant’s previous academic record and performance in the interview. Selected students will be notified through telephone by Education Wing of the Indian Embassy. All Candidates/students are requested not to contact Embassy for this.
When & How to Apply for SAARC Scholarship Scheme
SAARC Scholarship Scheme opens in November/December each year. In the opening of scheme, a Notice will be advertised in local papers and is uploaded on Embassy of India’s official website (www.indianembassy.org.np) at the time of opening of the scheme. Only Eligible and interested students are requested to go through the application instructions and mus apply before the final date as mentioned in the scheme opening Notice.
